Our Team.

Roland Loudenburg, M.P.H., Ed.S.

Roland Loudenburg has 30 years of experience in research and evaluation of health and human service and criminal justice related programs at the local, state, and national level.  He and colleagues at Mountain Plains Evaluation, LLC have served as the evaluator and data analyst for many projects on topics that include reducing DUI recidivism, drug courts, FAS, and mental health services and outcomes.  His work has served as supporting evidence for the inclusion of Interactive Journaling as an evidence based program with in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).

He holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and an Educational Specialist in Research and Statistics in Educational Psychology from the University of South Dakota. Roland has served on many state, regional, and national panels and workgroups and has authored peer reviewed journals.

Roland enjoys being active and boating, hunting, snowmobiling with his family and loved ones.

 

Gregg Drube, M.A.

Gregg has over 30 years of experience in managing data for research. His past professional include Programmer/Analyst for the Center For Disabilities in the Department of Pediatrics at the Sanford School of Medicine (SD) and 10 years as a Project Analyst/Research Assistant for the Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health at the University of Iowa. He also taught statistics and advanced mathematics. He received his statistical training at The Pennsylvania State University (M.A. 1981)  and took other advanced statistics courses while working at the University of Iowa.

Gregg is an avid bicycler and enjoys bicycle trips and touring.

Laura Smidt

Laura has 20 years of experience in account management, project support and organization, and data and document quality assurance review. She applies her training in paralegal course work to analysis and organization of criminal justice related data.

Laura is an animal lover and enjoys exercise, cooking and activities with her family.

Steve Allard

Steve has been a Research Associate MPE, LLC for the past three years. His duties include creating as well as updating data reports, managing data, and liasoning with program staff on a wide variety of projects for MPE. Steve’s past experience includes 13 years at the South Dakota Department of Corrections, 7 years as Deputy Warden of the South Dakota Women’s Prison in Pierre, SD. Steve spent 23 years underground mining at the Homestake gold mine in Lead, SD. He graduated from Central High School in Rapid City, SD and attended the University of South Dakota.

Steve also loves gardening and woodworking.

 

Bernice Schallenkamp

Bernice graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial economics from South Dakota State University. Her previous experience includes conducting research and supervisory responsibilities while working for Pohlad organization. Bernice is a Research Associate with MPE, LLC and handles accounting and tracking of training and reporting responsibilities.

Bernice enjoys cooking, outdoor activities such as camping, gardening, biking, running and spending time with family.

Rachel Schwans

Rachel has served as a Research Assistant with MPE, LLC for four years. She organizes and manages tobacco compliance check data and communications and providing accounting and project management support. Rachel is working towards completing her bachelors degree in business administration in marketing.

Rachel enjoys ice fishing and hunting with her family.
